Frozen yogurt bark is the kind of recipe you make and can’t believe you’ve lived your life without. It’s basically the answer to all your sweet snack dreams! It’s an easy, low-fat recipe that’s ALSO as delicious as—dare we say—frozen yogurt itself.
Better yet, this frozen treat is easy to customize to your liking. So feel free to use any toppings of your choice, whether that’s different fruits, your favorite granola, or even adding chopped nuts. We recommend enjoying this Greek yogurt bark on hot summer days, but let’s be real — it’ll taste amazing any time of year!
Frozen Yogurt Bark Ingredients
- Greek yogurt: We used 5% plain Greek yogurt, but feel free to use any plain yogurt.
- Maple syrup: A natural sweetener that enhances all the other great flavors.
- Cocoa powder: We used unsweetened cocoa powder as the other ingredients are sweet enough!
- Chocolate granola: Granola adds a nice crunch to the frozen yogurt bark. We used chocolate because we LOVE chocolate.
- Strawberries: We sliced our strawberries so that the bark stays nice and flat and is easy to eat.
- Chocolate chips: Melted chocolate chips taste so yummy drizzled on the fruit. Think chocolate-covered strawberries!
- Greek yogurt –> any other plain yogurt you like!
- Maple syrup –> honey
- Chocolate granola –> plain granola
- Strawberries –> blueberries, raspberries, or any other berry you prefer
- Chocolate chips –> chocolate chunks or any other flavored chocolate chips
Yes! You can use any frozen or fresh fruits you’d like for topping this frozen yogurt bark. However, if you use larger fruits like strawberries, it’s best to go fresh so you can slice them more easily.
There are so many different ways to experience this frozen yogurt bark. Here are some of our favorite tasty topping ideas for a little inspiration:
- Nuts: almonds, cashews, peanuts, pecans, macadamia nuts, hazelnuts, or pistachios.
- Seeds: sunflower, chia, pumpkin, or flax seeds.
- Drizzles: maple syrup, white/dark chocolate, caramel, agave nectar, or honey.
How to Make Delicious Frozen Yogurt Bark
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and cocoa powder until the cocoa powder is completely incorporated. Add 1 cup of chocolate granola and mix again.
Next, pour the Greek yogurt mixture over the parchment paper, spreading it evenly across the baking sheet until about ¼-inch thick.
Then place on the sliced strawberries and spread the last ¼ cup of the granola over the top, pressing it gently into the yogurt.
Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Then microwave on high in 20-second increments for 1 minute or until melted and glossy. Be sure to stir them every 20 seconds.
Drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of all of the ingredients. Then place the baking sheet into the freezer for at least 2 hours or until the yogurt has completely frozen.
Remove the baking sheet from the freezer and gently break the frozen yogurt bark into pieces.
If not serving right away, place them in a freezer-safe container or bag and store them in the freezer until ready to eat. Enjoy!
